What is VYNE @ OzHelp?

VYNE @ OzHelp is a program of the OzHelp Foundation and is partially funded by Mental Health ACT.

Core business of the VYNE @ OzHelp Program is the provision of accessible education and training related to suicide prevention. Activities are designed to enhance connections, resilience and mental health promotion within our community.

The Calendar of Workshops

VYNE @ OzHelp provides and facilitates a range of best practice, evidence based training workshops.

These include:

  • ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)

  • ASIST Tune-Up

  • A variety of speakers addressing mental health issues and therapies

  • SafeTALK

  • Understanding Self Harming Behaviours

  • Others on demand

VYNE @ OzHelp can provide tailor-made workshops and professional development around current Community issues These workshops improve knowledge, skills and attitudes aimed to enhance personal & organisational effectiveness & productivity.

 

Important Changes for 2008

VYNE @ OzHelp has implemented a number of policy changes for 2008.

Please read them carefully.

New costs

  • VYNE @ OzHelp now has only two cost rates, concession and regular
  • The concession rate is available to students, pensioners and volunteers on presentation of the relevant card or nomination from a volunteer supervisor
  • The regular rate applies to all other participants

New registration cut off dates

As our training venue requires adequate notice of participant numbers for room booking and catering purposes VYNE @ OzHelp has implemented registration due dates.

In order to register for a VYNE @ OzHelp course:

Your registration and payment MUST be received by VYNE @ OzHelp 5 working days prior to the training course

  • All participants MUST complete a VYNE @ OzHelp registration form in order to register for any course
  • Registration cut off dates are clearly advertised on our calendar summary and course flyers
  • If registration and payment are not received by the due date you will not be registered in the training course.

Course catering

  • Participants are requested to bring their own lunch or purchase lunch from the Twisted Fork at the Quality Hotel or the local shops.
  • Morning and afternoon tea will continue to be provided. This includes tea and coffee, and tends to be Danish’s or Muffins in the morning and cookies in the afternoon. For half day trainings only morning tea will be provided.
  • The Quality Hotel can cater for food allergies. You must inform VYNE @ OzHelp of any special eating requirements at the time of your registration to ensure appropriate catering
